Turns out that monsters from outer space really do have superpowers.
A brood of baby cockroaches that were conceived aboard a Russian satellite possess special abilities that place them above their earthling brothers. The 33 buggers are faster, stronger, feistier, and more resistant to radiation. Add that on top of roaches’ natural ability to live without oxygen for an hour and without food for weeks, and you have an insect super soldier.
The cosmo-roaches are part of a series of Russian experiments investigating the effects of space flight on animals.
